This is a $125 million CM/GC project to construct a 3.3 mile streetcar system along Woodward Avenue, the main street through the center of Detroit. The streetcar line connects downtown to Campus Martius, the entertainment/sports district, Midtown, Wayne State University, the museum district, and New Center. The project includes approximately 2.5 miles of full width roadway reconstruction and the complete replacement of two bridges over I-75 and I-94. It also includes 20 station platforms, traction power, train signal and communication systems, traffic signals, street lighting, systems infrastructure, and public and private utility relocation. Detroit-based White Construction managed the construction of 20 stations and their foundations.
