Police and Fire Headquarters

In a 50-50 partnership with Turner Construction, White Construction will be the Construction Manager for the new Public Safety Headquarters for The City of Detroit. This 200,000 SF total renovation of the former MGM Grand Temporary Casino, into a state of the art facility to house Detroit’s Police and Fire department main offices. The new Public Safety Headquarters will also include a new State of Michigan Crime Lab, the City of Detroit’s IT Department and main computer support equipment, a gun range eligible for State  certification by police officials and several retail amenities. There will be completely new mechanical and electrical systems and infrastructure throughout the facility.

The Detroit Building Authority as the Owner’s Agent is pursuing a minimum of LEED silver certification, setting the standard for sustainable design in Detroit.
