Cobo Civic Center Escalator Envelope

Construction Management services were provided for the renovation of the existing escalator enclosure connecting the Wayne and Michigan exhibit halls. This project opened the upper floor to enhance the lower level. Project scope included demolition of the existing fire rated masonry walls, hollow metal doors, and all frames, ceilings, and flooring in the designated area. New masonry walls, aluminum framed glazed walls, aluminum doors, an oversized soffit, terrazzo flooring, carpeting, and miscellaneous mechanical and electrical improvements were all constructed as part of the renovation.
