Project Description
Construction Management services were provided for the phased renovation project at the Cobo Hall Civic Center. This project was phased to accommodate the North American International Auto Show, and the various other conventions being hosted at the Cobo Hall Convention Center.
Both phases included renovations to the Atwater and Congress entrances, the re-working of the granite planters, the repair of exhibit hall hollow metal door, construction of new shoe shine stations and security booths, the installation of a new lighted main entrance and walkway canopies.
The interior meeting rooms were completely renovated, and all the facility’s restrooms were brought up to ADA standards. The Vu, a brand new restaurant/bar/lounge was completed to provide visitors with an elegant and comfortable dining or entertaining experience. This project also called for new and upgraded food service space, including The Sundries Shop, Baskin Robins, Pizza Queen, and a new coffee shop.
